Women in Business and the
Professions: Then and Now

celebration of Women's History Month, a group
of prominent local women met at the Main Library for a lively and entertaining
panel discussion, moderated by Lucia
Shannon, head of Adult Services at the Brockton Public Library. Diverse in
age, race, career, and experiences, the women shared their personal stories of
breaking through
in male-dominated professions and their own observations of the struggle for
gender equality over the years.
