Smart, artistic, and independent, sixteen-year-old Piper is tired of trying to conform. Her mom wants her to be "normal," to pass as hearing, to get a good job. But in a time of food scarcity, environmental collapse, and political corruption, Piper has other things on her mind-like survival. Piper has always been told that she needs to compensate for her Deafness in a world made for those who can hear. But when she meets Marley, a new world opens up-one where Deafness is something to celebrate, and where resilience means taking action, building a community, and believing in something better. The Teen Book Club is for all ages between 13-19. The book club will meet once a month in the teen zone of the main library. All books are available for download through Hoopla.

Join Ms. Sam every Thursday at the West Branch Library at 1pm for Toddler Time story hour! This Storytime is for kids ages 18 months to 3 years, kids will be introduced to stories, fingerplays, and songs based on simple concepts, repetition, and lots of movement. Program will run for 30 mins. (Start time is estimated for 1pm, program will officially start at 1:15).
