Crisp Fresh Veggies are packed with Vitamins!
Here are some low cost ideas to make them part of your daily diet:
1) If you qualify for SNAP, sign up for HIP and get extra $$ toward locally grown veggies. HIP gives money toward groceries and fresh food grown at local farms.
2) Check out seeds from our Seed Library, give them love and care in your pots or plot of land and watch your veggies grow! ( We have great books, podcasts and websites for gardening tips, ask a librarian.)
3) Visit the Boys & Girls Club Leafy Green Machine for free freshly grown veggies (dates and times in the chart above) Better yet, volunteer to help grow veggies in their Freight Farm.
